The government of Angola has released a notice of prequalification for the construction of a sewage sludge treatment plant and transfer stations in the province of Benguela
The National Water Directorate in Angola launched the notice pointing out the facilities will be built in phases. Phase one works will involve construction of 1 Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant common for Benguela and Baia Farta Municipalities, Construction of 6 and 3 Faecal Sludge Transfer Stations Benguela and Baía Farta Municipalities respectively and Improvement of 3 Sanitary facilities in Baía Farta.

Application details
Works under second phase includes construction of 4 Faecal Sludge Transfer Stations and 1 Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) in Lobito. It is expected that the Request for Bids will be made in July 2023.
Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the African Development Bank’s Procurement Framework 2015 (“Procurement Framework”), and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Framework.
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the National Directorate of Water of Angola at the address below during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours. A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be obtained free of charge by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below. The document will be sent by email or hard copy can be collected from office. Applications for prequalification should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below by 11:30 AM on May 10, 2023. Late applications may be rejected.
