EBARA CORPORATION (EBARA) was adopted as part of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO), Tokyo’s “Industrial Vocational Training Programme in Africa through Technology Transfer from Japan”.
Since its founding, EBARA has contributed to solving social issues through its business. One of our goals laid out in our long-term vision, E-Vision 2030, is to deliver water to 600 million people worldwide. We hope to contribute to the realization of a society where there are no water or food concerns especially in regions where population growth and economic development will stress existing resources.
This program, funded by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, targets local engineers and industrial personnel in Africa. The program aims to teach the technologies of Japanese companies that contribute to sustainable development to local engineers and professionals that will then disseminate the technologies learned in their own countries.
This is the first time such a program is being conducted by UNIDO ITPO Tokyo in Africa.
Through this program we will promote technology transfer in Africa. At the same time, we will expand our pumping business through EBARA PUMPS SOUTH AFRICA (PTY) LTD.
South Africa is listed for Pump technology for sustainable water distribution through Ebara Corporation.
The EBARA Group aims to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing material issues identified in its long-term vision and executing the medium-term management plan to increase corporate value.
