Davis & Shirtliff Warehouse project to be launched soon

Davis & Shirtliff Group, the leading supplier for water equipment and energy solutions in the East African region, will soon launch its largest warehouse and distribution center in Kenya.

The Tatu Warehouse project is the largest investment ever undertaken by Davis & Shirtliff and is set to revolutionize the Group’s operations. The company will use the new facility to increase its network to 70% coverage across Kenya and open its distribution network further in other African markets.

According to Henry Davis, general manager of Davis & Shirtliff Supply, the new facility brings a higher level of efficiency, larger deliveries, optimized stock holding and well-organised distribution to partners and customers.

Located at the expansive Tatu City development near Ruiru, some 25 kms from Nairobi central business district (NCBD), the 10,000 m2 building sits on a 5-acre site with room left for further development.

The building, designed by international architects Boogertman and Partners and constructed to a high standard by Ark Construction with the portal frame provided by Steel Structures, has been generally praised for its efficacy and aesthetics.

The large single-roofed warehouse area features widely spaced columns, effective ventilation and six loading bays with dock levelers and the integral office block includes excellent staff facilities. Efficient logistics and distribution are essential for a regional business operating nearly 80 branches in nine countries and this excellent facility will raise Davis & Shirtliff service to a new level as it becomes operational over the next 2 months.
