Autodesk Plant 3D achieves SANS accreditation

Autodesk’s latest version of AutoCAD, the Plant 3D 2022 Toolset, has been accredited to South African National Standards (SANS) and is available on the App Library.

Autodesk released the toolset in March 2021, which has proven a 74% productivity gain when compared to basic AutoCAD. This upgrade facilitates more efficient creation and editing processes of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s) and 3D models, as well as faster extraction of piping orthographics and isometrics. It also incorporates highly requested new features, including synchronising project settings and isometric dimension customisation.

The Plant 3D SANS library standard accreditation includes pipes, flanges, straight nozzle, reducers, elbows, fasteners and more. As an Autodesk value-added distributor in South Africa, WorldsView supplies this AutoCAD version, and many others, from Autodesk.
