Mtwapa branch to serve local community, tourism and real estate sector.
Davis & Shirtliff, the leading supplier of water and energy equipment in the East African region, has opened a new branch in Mtwapa, Kilifi County – its eighth branch in the Coast region. Located in the pleasant Mtwapa Mall, the branch will serve customers in the Shanzu, Vipingo and Kilifi areas.
Speaking at the D&S Coast Head Offices in Mombasa, Davis & Shirtliff Coast GM, Mohamed Farook, said the company will build local capacity and expertise in the region by training service providers for the company who later service the market. The aim being to provide employment for the youth under the D&S “Service Providers“ programme, whilst supporting the company’s wide range of products in the market.
“The percentage share of business generated outside Nairobi has grown immensely over the recent years and this has been a major driver of our expansion strategy. Our branches provide vital after-sales services to our customers,”
said David Gatende, Davis & Shirtliff Group Chairman speaking at the opening.
The new branch adds to the seven existing ones strategically located branches at the coast – Mombasa main office, Mombasa downtown, Malindi, Diani, Lamu, Nyali and Voi. Davis & Shirtliff provide a wide range of products from water pumps, borehole service, swimming pool equipment, water treatment solutions, generators and solar equipment for both domestic and commercial use. The water feature at the newly opened Pride Inn Paradise complex, the largest conference facility in Kenya, is one such project supplied by D&S Mombasa branch.
