Swimming pool heating pump demand on the rise

A change in lifestyle in Nairobi has seen the demand for swimming pool heating pump go up drastically. Both high-end homeowners and real estate developers have adopted heated swimming pools as a must-have.

Statistics indicate that homeowners in Nyari, Karen, Westlands, Lavington, and Muthaiga have installed pumps in their swimming pools. In the past, such affluent city families preferred swimming in hotel pools.

Davis & Shirtliff business development director, Edward Davis, said Buyers are spoilt for choices as the high-end residential property market continues to attract local and foreign investments.

He added that swimming pool heating pumps are now a must-have for new properties in urban areas. With Nairobi being located in a high-altitude area, a heated pool is most preferred and more attractive than the cold pool and that Kenyans love swimming, and they want to swim at any time, whether during the day, in the evening or late into the night after work.

Solar heaters have proved popular for heating pools and most homes have installed the gadgets as a government directive. Solar is a cheaper source of power to heat swimming pools and most home owners prefer it for its low cost attribute.
